You can't be serious D: My eyes been bugging me the last few days but I didn't really pay attention to it. Yesterday I woke up to it really bothering me and looked in the mirror to see a nice pink eye. Which was followed by a crazy laugh from me because of the frustration of being sick again and again and again. Luckily my mom still had some drops for it so no doctors visit.
Someone must be cursing me ;D

I bought a lotto ticket today
because after being sick on and off for roughly 5 months I think I deserve something good to happen to me ;D I've had a respiratory infection, kidney stone, and now I get strep throat and thrush :X. I feel a little loopy, no idea why and my throat isn't hurting yet but it's supposed to hurt a lot soon enough. I'm sick of being sick.. I hope this is the last of being sick for the next 10 years..

Arroyo Seco
Well here are some pictures of our venture up to the Arroyo Seco bike path
It was paved for maybe two miles then just dirt.. and since my bike has street tires on it my bike was slipping and sliding around and I was expecting a fall but it never happened. We stopped when the trail started to get steeper because I really can't manage it on my BMX.. and the fiancee was having trouble with her mountain bike gears.. It was really nice though, only saw maybe 10 people who were all friendly.. Was nice and cool from the shade and the stream and plenty green which you don't often see around LA.. Stopped and had lunch also..
There's a neat wooden bridge back there that was built in 1939.. and well next time we go I just hope to have a bike with gears so we can go all the way up the path..

As usual :

Meow
Well I'm about to go up to the Arroyo Seco bike path with my trusty fiancee. I just hope there isn't much of an incline as I have a BMX bike.. which only has one gear. So uphill is really really hard and just doesn't work. I kind of ommited telling my fiancee that there was a mountain lion attack up there. All is well though ! I can run faster then her ;D

See you there at 6:30pm!
Why why why do people do this in LA during the week ?? I mean from say 3:30-6:30 it's rush hour in LA, which means you might be doing a cool 10mph (at most) on the freeway. So getting anywhere past a couple miles means either taking the streets to avoid the frustration of the freeway... leaving before rush hour and finding something to do for a few hours... or have a fun time sitting really really aggravating traffic.
I just feel like blowing people off when they do it unless I live somewhat near wherever we're going. It aggravates me when tell me see you there at 6-6:30 at a place 30 miles away from me. I mean I don't wanna make my friends or family sit in traffic so if I do have anything planned during the week which is like incredibly rare, I do it at 8 o'clock or so. So they can leave at 7 and not sit in traffic... hopefully..
I've had this done to me by a few people a couple times.. I just wanna know does anyone take things like this into account ?? Now that I think about it I actually have completely blown off people who've asked me to show up somewhere at some ridiculous(to me) time (Ok and I don't really like them much either).
Sounds crummy but I drive a lot.. I might put a few hundred miles on my car in a couple days.. It's not bad driving when there isn't traffic but when there is it just sucks everything out of me. I mean ya I've had to sit in traffic for my old job but that was because I had to. I get annoyed over it because there is no reason to sit in traffic to go to dinner with someone for the most part..
blah that's it..

Patent Patent Patent Patent Patent Patent
Well I don't think many people know this about me but.. I have a lot of mechanical ideas, I actually have a notebook with pages and pages of ideas. But! I've never managed to finish any of them or even manage to complete a prototype. Which has always bothered, even more so lately. The closest I've gotten is with my recent one. I had some parts made of plastic in a rapid prototyping machine (basically a 3d printer that spits out plastic parts) a ways back. Then moved on to trying to get a business license which I couldn't get so on to the back-burner my idea went.
Lately though I was doing my usually bit of thinking and devised a better way to go about it. So I went out and got a book on filing a provisional patent. It's kind of like a placeholder for a real patent that you're gonna file in the future and lets you say patent pending. I finished it up today and mailed it off.. now I wait to get confirmation back that everything is good and filed :). I'm happy yet nervous because the thought of someone beating you to the punch is really nerve racking.. Hopefully I can bring my idea to reality in some timely fashion and make something out of it.
Maybe once I get my postcard back telling me it's been filed I'll post more about it..
In the mean time check out

and!
Amélie
I watched this last night on the Independent Film Channel - 550 on DirectTv.
I really recommend it unless you can't stand sub-titles
It's a movie about a girl who likes to anonymously make people happy or do mischievous things to the deserving.. and toys with a guy she has a crush on with games and notes..
I don't think any description really can sum up the movie.. I'd just say check it out.. it's really good..
