10/10 Convalescent leave

-I'm typing this all from my notepad I had with me.. It covers a few days-

Today was exciting.. I wasn't feeling good (fever) but didn't want to miss out more by going to sick call. But it came to the point where I thought it was getting dangerous and a buddy that felt my forehead was prodding me to get my temp taken. So I did.. my drill sergeant acted as if I was overreacting and was slow about it. Then he got his reading - 103 then he took it again to make sure and 103 again! Woooo! Ice sheets for me (the Army takes bed sheets and sticks them in ice for these situations). One sheet around your head, one in each armpit, on in the groin (thank god the soldier helping stuffed it in between my legs instead of on my.. groin) and the last sheet gets draped over you.

Makes ya feel freezing cold for about 10mins then the sheets start to get warmer. Next my drill sergeant put a rubber band around my arm to start an IV but is complaining "You ain't got no fucking veins private! fuck" He takes the band off and puts it back on and is slapping my arm to get the veins to come out... then he starts to take the IV needle out and tells me he might miss. So I'm hoping EMS gets there before he can try... and they do! He tells me "you're lucky private I would had fucked you up!" (this is in a funny tone). So good ol' EMS shows up and walks my dizzy and now shirtless self to the ambulance. They take my temp again 104.6! Oh ya! So then I get taken to the hospital where I wait for 2 or so hours before I'm seen at all (wts?).

Bleh so besides that I got stuck in the infirmary again and for two days.. I hate that place with a passion. It makes you know how old people in bad nursing homes feel. It's like jail kind of and if you have a temp over 99 you can't leave even if you're supposed to D: . So come my second day I have a temp but I want to get out of this place badly. So! cold shower it is! and I wake up every four hours to take my meds in and effort to get out. However when it's time to get my temp taken I know I still have a fever.. So i put the thermometer on the edge of my tongue - 98.5! Oh ya!
I get out and my drill sergeant starts working on sending me home----- will continue...

(I just like this song no meaning behind putting it in here :P )
